WHAT IS THE WATER LIKE IN NORTHERN ARIZONA?
In Northern Arizona, most of our water comes from groundwater sources. While we are fortunate that industrial pollution is generally not an issue, water naturally acts as a solvent, picking up a variety of natural and man-made contaminants that can impact both its quality and safety.
Nearly all of the groundwater in Northern Arizona is considered “hard,” with calcium bicarbonates being the primary mineral present. Typical hardness levels range from 7 to over 30 grains per gallon, though readings exceeding 100 grains per gallon have been recorded. This hardness commonly appears as “lime scale” buildup. Water with hardness levels above 10.5 grains per gallon is classified as extremely hard.
When you’re ready to take a closer look at the water in your home or business, contact us for a FREE on-site water analysis. Our Water Specialist will test for hardness, iron, pH, and TDS levels, and recommend customized solutions to meet your needs.
DO YOU NEED A WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM?
If you’re connected to a municipal water supply, it’s the responsibility of your local utility to provide water that meets minimum EPA standards. You can request a copy of their Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) to learn more about the quality of your water. To find your local water supplier’s contact information, click here…
If you rely on a private well, you are considered your own water provider and are responsible for ensuring your water’s safety. For well owners, we highly recommend regular bacteria testing and occasional inorganic water analysis..
Whether your water comes from a municipal source or a private well, it contains more than just H₂O — and it could benefit from water treatment. To review your local municipality’s drinking water quality report, click here…
